Good Morning Folks! Clouds will linger throughout the day with isolated showers possible, but for the most part it will be a gray and chilly end to the weekend. Temps do warm as we move through the upcoming week, however it will take some time to break into the 60’s, perhaps as late as Wednesday. Monday through Thursday keeps rain lingering across the region, with isolated shower coverage Monday and Tuesday, ramping up to scattered Wednesday and widespread by Thursday. This of course is if the passing cold front slated for Thursday holds to that day, instead of shifting to Friday as other models suggest. Either way the week ahead will feature partly – mostly cloudy skies each afternoon, alongside isolated to scattered showers, however temps across the valleys rise from the low 50’s Monday to the mid 60’s by Thursday! Overnight lows follow suit and dip below freezing tonight but eventually climb out of the 30’s and settle into the mid 40’s – low 50’s by week’s end. All in all, we are still trying to climb out of winter with the week ahead featuring below average temps, but warmer weather is only a week or two out.
Clouds and light showers today will keep temps to the low – upper 40’s across the region, settling into the upper 20’s above 4000’ and only cooling off to the low 30’s for the valleys. The best chance for rain will be along the ridgelines, however all of SW NC is in... click here for more
