Good Morning Folks! Some of us are checking the date as temps feel more like September than late June, with a low of 46.7°F in Maggie Valley but overall temps are in the upper 40’s – low 50’s. Sunshine dominates the landscape today but temps will only reach levels about 6 – 8 degrees below average and this cooler weather carries over into Tuesday, although clouds and light showers move in tomorrow morning. Sunshine returns Wednesday with temps rising to the upper 70’s and by Thursday we return to the low 80’s, which will be the norm for the rest of the week and weekend. Sunshine continues into Thursday but as moisture filters back into the region we can expect isolated showers and thunderstorms Friday through the weekend, with coverage peaking on Saturday. At this point in time we don’t expect a washout for the weekend, but it would be a good call to plan alternative activities in case it rains overhead.
Sunshine today will not be able to bring temps above the low 60’s – mid 70’s depending upon elevation and tonight clouds will develop as moisture streams into the area, producing partly cloudy skies and another cool overnight low in the upper 40’s – mid 50’s.
Tuesday features isolated showers and passing clouds and although it won’t be as nice as today, temps will remain cool as they hold to the low 60’s – mid 70’s. Tuesday night might be our coldest night of the week with temps in the... click here for more
