Good Morning Folks! It certainly felt like summer this morning with dense fog across the region and it taking most of the morning hours to burn off, although temps were on the chilly side for a midsummer morning. We’ll enjoy more sun than clouds today with isolated showers along the escarpment and tomorrow will be much of the same, however coverage increases slightly when compared to today. Sunday and Monday keep the rain chances alive with shower coverage on Sunday more so than Saturday but at this point no washout is expected, however Monday may be a washout or at the least, a decent soaker with showers most of the day. Tuesday brings back sunshine and it looks like it will take till late next week to develop showers across the region as we deal with a shifting atmosphere. Temps will be well above average today and tomorrow, fairly warm on Sunday but they’ll return to normal Monday and Tuesday, rising back to above average levels by Wednesday of next week.
Sunshine this morning will give way to partly cloudy – partly sunny skies this afternoon depending upon location as the southernmost portions of the region closer to the SC state line are likely to see increased cloud cover over areas along the TN line. In addition, isolated showers are more likely along the escarpment than the TN line but overall it will be a dry day for the majority of SW NC with temps rising to the upper 60’s –... click here for more
