Good Morning Folks! Preaching to the choir here but we are now winding down this whopper of a snowstorm, with totals ranging from 7 – 18”, possibly exceeding 20” in a few localized areas. The running (will be updated all day) snow totals for the region can be found at the bottom of the discussion. As you can see if you look out your window (as of 10:15am) clouds are beginning to thin and soon will give way to sunshine. Don’t get too excited as more snow is on the way for this evening, however this second round will be much lighter than the first. Sunshine then returns tomorrow and hangs around through Monday with temps rising ever so slowly, but enough to help melt the dumping of snow we just were dealt. Then on Tuesday a cold front will another round of cold behind the front, swings through the region, dropping light amounts of snow (mainly for the TN line). Sunshine then sets back up for Wednesday into late next week, although temps will be below normal and rival the cold snap we are currently dealing with. All in all, a few shots of snow surrounded by sunny day with temps ever so slowly climbing to near normal levels.
The clouds clearing within the hour will allow the snow to melt a good bit, however it being a wet snow it may take a while, so be careful when driving as shaded areas will remain snow covered with temps in... click here for more
